The NEW "Hot Shopping Tips" podcast is a shopper's best friend

I’m super excited to announce the launch of my new podcast—Hot Shopping Tips with Mandy Walker. We're packing each episode with our best advice, including money-saving tips you’ll want to try ASAP and insider info to help you shop smarter for food, cosmetics, supplements, clothes, furniture, spa services, cars, insurance, appliances, and a lot more!

Mandy and I are consumer news junkies so we’ll also keep you up to date on headlines that could affect your health and safety as well as your finances. In just the first half dozen episodes, we tell you about Netflix scams (episode #1), health warnings about bottled water (episode #3), the dangers of push-button car ignitions (episode #7), and a lot more!

I met Mandy at Consumer Reports where we were colleagues for many years. During that time, I was the editor in chief of ShopSmart magazine and she was an editor in the finance group. We often worked together on investigative stories and I always admired her ability to dig deep into complicated issues without getting overwhelmed by the zillions of confusing details. She’s great at breaking down even the most complex purchases, including insurance and mortgage products (you know, stuff that scares the hell out of you because you have no idea what you’re buying but you know you need it!). Mandy is also as obsessed as I am with hunting down the best deals—and avoiding the duds. And we love making people feel as empowered and excited as we are as shoppers who know the inside scoop.
